The Smart City Project aimed to integrate Internet of Things IoT devices into a unified platform for real time monitoring, management, and automation. The project leveraged AWS IoT services, enabling seamless communication between devices and a central system. Each IoT device was categorized based on functionality, and its specifications were displayed on interactive maps for better visualization. A rule engine was implemented to trigger predefined actions based on sensor data or system events, allowing for automation in city operations.
Built responsive and intuitive UI components based on Figma designs ensuring a seamless user experience. Developed socket based APIs to stream IoT data without delays ensuring accurate real time information. Designed a robust deployment strategy to prevent data loss during updates or system downtime. Implemented an ETL Extract Transform Load process to handle large volumes of IoT data and built a rule engine to trigger automated actions such as turning on lights based on motion sensors. Continuously optimized performance fixed bugs and implemented new features to enhance system stability. Deployed AWS CloudFormation scripts to provision cloud resources like SQS SNS Lambda and RDS ensuring scalable infrastructure. Built cost effective and scalable APIs using AWS Lambda and API Gateway to minimize operational costs. Actively resolved bugs and made continuous improvements to enhance overall functionality and user experience.
The solution was built using a modern and scalable approach to ensure seamless IoT data processing and a smooth user experience. The frontend was developed based on Figma designs ensuring a responsive and intuitive interface. For real time data updates socket based APIs were implemented to stream IoT data without delays. A zero data loss deployment strategy was designed to ensure no data was lost during updates. An ETL process and a rule engine were built to handle IoT data and trigger automated actions such as turning on lights based on motion sensors. The infrastructure was deployed using AWS CloudFormation provisioning resources like SQS SNS Lambda and RDS. Serverless APIs were developed using AWS Lambda and API Gateway for cost effective scalability. Continuous improvements bug fixes and performance optimizations were also made to enhance system functionality.
